20 Second Fitness. Week 1.

I have finished week 1 of 20 Second Fitness and have started week 2. Wow! Who knew that just 4 minutes of exercise a day could make a difference?

I have been doing mine late at night when everyone is in bed. It is the only time I can be sure that the baby will sleep and I will have 4 minutes to myself without being disturbed. Although I am going to work with the host, Spencer on ways to involve the kids while I work out. So hopefully I can add this to my morning routine.

Last week consisted of 6 days of 4 minute workouts. I will be honest that I skipped the last 2 days as we went camping. But I figured all the setting up of the tent, swimming and hiking more than made up for me missing this. I am sorry to say that I am sore. Not an ‘I can’t move sore’ but an ‘I can tell I have been active sore’. I am not sure it that is because I am so out of shape or because I am using muscles I haven’t used in a long time. It is probably both.

This week in addition to starting week 2, Spencer has asked us to take a look at our eating habits and pick one thing we can make a change on. I am committed to cutting out after dinner snacking. I am notorious for staying up way too late and then getting hungry so I eat before bed.

The results are in.

Last week:
Weight: 171 pounds.
Waist: 35.5 inches.
Hips: 41 inches.
Thighs: 22 inches.
Arms: 12.5 inches.

This week:
Weight: 169.4 pounds.
I skipped measurements as I am positive there is no change there yet.

Overall I have lost 1.6 pounds in just a week. I am thrilled with this result.
