Do You Give Back?

As parents we want to teach our children the importance of giving to charities. There is a lot to be said for raising children so that they understand that there is always a way to help out others. But often our own charitable giving take a back burner to our families and their needs. This is where organizations like Giveback.org come in.

Founded by Stephen Paletta, the winner of Oprah’s Big Give contest in 2008, GiveBack is a digital platform that lets you organize all your donations in one place. The funds that accumulate in your account are part of the Give Back Foundation. Each member has the ability to direct the funds from their account to any charity in good standing with the United States Internal Revenue Service.

What that means for you is that when you make a purchase at one of over 400 merchants you can earn up to 15% cash back. This cash is then applied to your Foundation or account at Giveback.org. From there you can donate to the charity of your choice. For example, next time you have shopping to do at Target, you can earn up to 4% cash back and then donate it to Autism Speaks.

The list of merchants is at over 400 now and growing all the time. Even more impressive is the list of charities you can donate to. From the American Cancer Society, to ASPCA to The American Red Cross there is bound to be a charity you are passionate about.

For an extra incentive to sign up now, GiveBack has kicked off the “100 Days of Giving” Contest – one member will win $1,000 for his/her foundation every day until July 16. If you have been trying to find a way to get involved, teach your family about giving back and really making a difference, https://www.giveback.org makes it easy.
