High Maintence

I have a feeling I am in for a whirlwind with the newest addition to our family.  Genghis was the world’s most ideal baby.  He always slept great.  He never fell asleep while nursing, but instead would eat until full than you laid him down and he would fall asleep on his own.  And he didn’t care if he was being held or not.  Anyone could hold him, or not, either way, he just didn’t care.  In many ways this has translated into the little man he has become.  He is a laid back child, very go with the flow and accommodating when the lose schedule we do have is interrupted.

Miss Stalin on the other hand.  She demands to be held and not just anyone will do.  She is a comfort nurser and will only fall asleep while nursing.  She has no schedule instead opting to keep me guessing.  The only thing my two babies have in common is nighttime sleeping.  At 2 months old she will sleep for 12 hours a night.  Trust me, if I could figure out the trick to this, I would be a millionaire.

While doing some searches I found a article about the 12 Features of a high needs baby. With the exception of number 2 on the list, Miss Stalin meets every feature.  It is official, I am in for a treat with this little lady.
