Justice Served, Osama Bin Laden Killed

I am sure by now we have all seen the news reports that Osama Bin Laden was killed last week.  DNA testing has confirmed that it was in fact him.  The man who was responsible for the attacks of September 11th, is no longer a threat.

I for one feel that a certain amount of justice has been served.  I liken it to a murderer on death row.  After the actual execution the victims families often say that justice is complete and they feel as though they can finally put the issue to rest and really begin the healing process.

Somehow I was very lucky during the 9/11 attacks that did not know anyone personally who was killed.  However, that is not to say the events of the day did not effect me.  I believe the events of that day effected each and every one of us.  Some more personally than others.

And so I have no problem celebrating this small victory and saying that I am glad that healing can begin for many.

As always, I am thankful and grateful to the men and women who are and have severed to keep this country the greatest country in the world. Thank you for your tireless sacrifice.  Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to express my gratitude.
