Reward Charts

With Genghis just turning 5 we have decided it is time he starts to earn an allowance.  Of course we don’t want to just hand him money each week and let him do with it as he wants.  There will be responsibilities that he must do and as a result he will get a reward.

I have been shopping around for different reward charts and I found one I love.  Amazon has this Melissa & Doug Deluxe Magnetic Responsibility Chart. marked down from $19.99 to $17.26.

What I love most is that it does not only include chores like cleaning your room, making your bed and picking up your toys, but it also includes actions such as saying please and thank you, show respect and stop whining.

Have you found that reward charts work well for your child?
