Trash Watch 2011. Day 1!

If your husband is anything like mine he sometimes misses the obvious. Mine will keep every receipt for what he spent over the week and then sit down on the weekend and go through all the receipts to balance the bank account. Of course those receipts end up in a little pile on his end table until I throw them away.

So then I had a thought. What if I didn’t throw one of them away? What if I just left it sitting there and waited to see how long it would take him to throw it away?

Out of this idea, Trash Watch 2011 was born.

The rules are rather simple. My husband does not read my blog so he will not know that I am doing this. At no time am I allowed to pick up and throw away said receipt. I will be allowed to move it to dust, clean, vacuum, whatever I may need to do. However the receipt will then be put back where I found it. It is a simple test to see how long one small piece of trash will remain where he left it, if I didn’t pick up after him.

I will update every few days on the status of said receipt.

Any guesses how long it will remain there?
