Creating Memories with Hersey’s #smores and #campbondfire

Ah summertime.

It is a time to slow down, enjoy the days and create some memories.

We do schooling year round but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a day off to enjoy some time together. One of our latest outings has been to a local lake for some swimming and fun in the sun.

Last week we made a day out of it and after some swimming, playing in the sand, and kite flying we had a little picnic.

Hot dogs, coleslaw, sting cheese, fresh cucumber slices, hummus and pita chips made for a great meal.

But I wanted something to really end the day on a high note.

Enter Hersey’s Smores.

This summer, Hershey’s is encouraging families to gather around the bonfire to make lasting memories with the help of everyone’s favorite summertime treat: S’mores!

Made from a delicious combination of pure Hershey’s® Milk Chocolate, crisp graham crackers and toasted marshmallows, S’mores have helped bring families together around the campfire since the recipe was first published in the Girl Scouts handbook in 1927.

Eighty-five years later, Hershey’s is giving families a new reason to enjoy the summertime staple by inviting consumers to gather around the virtual fire at CAMP BONDFIRE.

Now through September 7, S’mores fans nationwide can visit CAMP BONDFIRE at the Hershey’s Facebook page. It features an interactive Facebook application where families will discover new ways to bond around the campfire and create memories all summer long.

Everyone loves S’mores and these were the perfect way to end our day.

What do you do to create summer memories and bond with friends and family?
