#SFSlimDown. Does Slim Fast Really Work?

For the past couple of months I have been a Slim Fast Ambassador. If you are new here, that means that I having been doing the Slim Fast 3-2-1 Plan to lose weight and then I blog about my results.

Over the course of the last couple of months I have been asked a million questions about Slim Fast and if it really works. So I thought it would be great to do a sort of Q&A right now.

1. What exactly is the 3-2-1 Plan?

The Slim Fast 3-2-1 plan is an super easy to follow diet. It allows you 3 low calorie snacks in a day, 2 Slim Fast shakes and one 500 calorie sensible meal. Following these guidelines I am able to easily keep my calorie intake right around 1,200 calories a day. It cuts out the need for points or calorie counting that you find with other diets and makes it all very simple to do.

2. Do you get hungry between meals?

I will be honest when I was first starting out on this it was brutal. The first week and a half I felt so hungry all of the time. It took a lot of will power to be able to follow the plan. But after that first hump, I find that I am not at all hungry between meals. And I am allowed 3 snacks a day and that really helps to take any hunger away between meals.

3. What is your favorite flavor?

I love chocolate anything so I am a huge fan of the Creamy Milk Chocolate and the Rich Chocolate Royale. But Slim Fast also has a new flavor and I think my favorite is the Cappuccino Delight.

For the 100 calorie snack bars my all time favorite is Chocolate Nougat Gone Nuts. It is filled with nuts, nougat, caramel and all covered in creamy chocolate. Yum!

4. Are there any gluten free options?

Slim Fast is not a certified gluten free food. The labels read that it may contain wheat. However I have also read some accounts of those who are gluten free using the shakes with no problems.

5. Does it really work?

This is the one question I am asked the most. And I can honestly say yes, it does work. As with any diet you cannot just cut out certain foods and lower your calories and expect to see results. You have to add exercise into your routine. With the addition of exercise and the 3-2-1 plan, I am thrilled with my results.

6. What is the one thing you love most about Slim Fast?

I love the ease of it. Having the shakes, meal bars, and snack bars already made and ready to grab makes it the easiest to follow diet. No matter what our day holds I am able to grab a shake and some snack bars and just throw them into my bag. So no matter what we are doing, my meals are covered!
