Udi’s Gluten Free Foods Review

We are fortunate enough that except for a dairy allergy in Miss Stalin we have no dietary restrictions. But that does not mean we don’t try and eat the most healthy options. When I received the opportunity to review a sampling of Udi’s Gluten Free Products, I was excited to give them a try.

First up, the Cinnamon Raisin Bagel. This bagel has lots of plump raisins, spicy cinnamon all in a big chewy bagel. It was perfect toasted with just a bit of butter. This is Udi’s newest bagel variety and I can promise you will love it.

Udi’s Snickerdoodle Cookies were a huge hit with everyone in the house. Soft, chewy cookies with tons of cinnamon flavor, they were the perfect dessert or mid-day snack. They had the perfect combination of sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.

Udi’s Pizza Crust. Normally we make our own pizza crust. But I was thrilled to make it easy and use a pre-made crust. I was honestly expected something that had zero flavor and tasted like cardboard. Boy was I wrong. Udi’s Pizza Crusts are perfect. You cook them directly on the rack and you can even cook them on the grill. The crust held up great with all the toppings and ended up perfectly crispy and the texture is wonderful.

Udi’s Millet Chia Bread. Baked with hearty ancient grains, this bread contains a wholesome balance of nutrients, vitamins and deliciously earthy flavors. I am not sure exactly what I expected with this bread. I thought it would taste a lot like a sponge filled with dirt. Hey, just being honest here. I am a huge fan of whole grain breads, but throw in millet, chia, and ancient grains, and I was scared. I am happy to report that I had nothing to be afraid of. The bread was perfect. It has a very earthy taste to it but no hint of dirt. It made the most filling and tasty sandwich I have had in a long time.

Udi’s Gluten Free Cranberry Granola. I am a huge fan of granola and cranberries. Put them together and you are talking my kind of breakfast. The cranberries were the perfect combination between sweet and tart. The granola was lightly toasted and was a great start to our busy mornings.

While I have no idea what gluten actually tastes like, I am happy to report that I didn’t miss it a single bit in any of these products. I was very pleased with every single one of them! Udi’s has a new customer with my family!
