Mickey Mouse is in the House. — Yellow Tennessee

Mickey Mouse is in the House.

When we first bought this house I was trying to figure out how I wanted to decorate each room. Colors, style, the whole bit. For the kids bathroom I wanted something that would appeal to both a 7 year old and a 2 year old but not be something that I would have to change in the next year. Basically I wanted something that they would not outgrow in a short time. But it still needed to be fun for them.

Then it hit me.

Mickey Mouse.

They both love Mickey and every since our trip to Disney last year, they both are still very much thrilled with all things Mickey.

I found this Disney Mickey Mouse Bathroom Set on Amazon and knew it would be perfect.

I love the little touches in this set. Everything from the towels, to the rug, and even the shower curtain hooks are all decked out in Mickey.

Then I added a few personal touches.

Soap and shampoo from the Disney resort we stayed at on our Honeymoon sit on the counter. I made a shadowbox with a photo of the fireworks in front of Cinderella’s Castle complete with little trinkets from our time there. A glass cup I had from years ago with Mickey and Minnie on is now for them to use to get a drink or rinse after brushing their teeth. The extra Mickey washcloths are tied together with a bow and sit on the back of the toilet.

In the end I am happy with the way it turned out. And the kids? Well they both love it. Other than wanting some Mickey head silhouette chalkboard decals for the walls, I am done with the bathroom.

One room down, 7 to go.
