Tai Pei Good Fortune in Every Box with #Coupon

I love nothing more than good Chinese food. And by good, I mean non-greasy, full of flavor. I can throw a stick and hit 5 local Chinese restaurants near us. But that doesn’t mean they are good. It involves a lot of trial and error to find one that is worth going back to.

But sometimes just because I have a craving for Chinese food, it does not mean anyone else in my family does. Isn’t that the way it always goes?

So I can do one of two things.

Pack up the kids, go and get some for me and hit up a drive thru on the way home so the kids are happy. Or I can suffer through it.

Usually I pick the latter. Opting instead to ignore my craving until it goes away.

And then I got a glorious email sent to me.

Social Moms is partnering up with Tai Pei Asian-style restaurant-inspired frozen meals. And just like that my craving is satisfied.

Now first things first, if you are intested in trying these out but don’t want to spend a ton of money, I am here to help. A fabulous Buy One Get One Tai Pei coupon and to let you know that these little beauties cost under $3 each. I call that a win win.

Besides coming in cute little Chinese take out style boxes, these bad boys go from freezer to table in about 5 minutes. They are perfect for a quick lunch.

No need to unwrap or thaw. Just set the entire box, wrapper and all in the microwave for 5 minutes and then enjoy.

Tai Pei Orange Chicken

I picked up the Beef & Broccoli, Bourbon Chicken, and Orange Chicken to try. Today for lunch, the Orange Chicken.

5 minutes in the microwave and I had this:

Orange Chicken

So good! It had big chunks of chicken, plenty of veggies and a great portion of rice. There were a couple of things that really stood out to me. The veggies were perfectly cooked while still being crisp. A real rarity for anything from the microwave. And the sauce. Oh, the sauce was exactly what you would expect from a restaurant. It was flavorful, sweet, with just the perfect hint of spicy.

Tai Pei also has new Tai Pei Asian Garden entrees. I wasn’t able to find them at my local grocery store just yet, but I will keep looking. Each single serve meal contains around 300 calories, 8 grams of fat or less, and real ingredients including lean meats, crispy vegetables, brown rice and whole grain noodles.

They come in these great varieties:

Hunan Beef & Broccoli, Chicken Fried Rice, Spicy General Tso’s Chicken, Ginger Chicken, Glazed Chicken Potstickers, Mango Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken.

Tai Pei says there is “Good Fortune in Every Box™, ” and after trying these Asian style entrees, I would have to agree with them.
