Miss Stalin is 2 and a half years old now and has quite the vocabulary. We get 4 and 5 word sentences no problem. But like with most little ones she has certain phrases or just the way she pronounces things that leave us laughing.
When she wants to go outside instead of just asking to go out she says ‘play outside, play’.
At times she is also unknowingly a smart-alack. One day last week while climbing on Daddy, he took a knee to the ribs and said “ouch”. Miss Stalin replied with ‘Oh, sorry baby!’ And then laughed at him.
And my most favorite thing is she leaves the last syllable off some words. Not all of them, just some.
Buttons are simply called buts.
Fingers are fings.
Which hearing a 2 year old say ‘I hurt my fings’ is pretty funny.
But the best of them all is horse.
Yep, you guessed it. A horse is called a hor.
Nothing like driving and hearing your 2 year old in the back seat say ‘Is that a hor, mommy?’
“Yes honey, that is a horSE!!”
