So Much To Be Thankful For — Yellow Tennessee

So Much To Be Thankful For

Today I spent the day doing a lot of the prep work for our big Thanksgiving meal tomorrow. Fruit salad, deviled eggs, stuffed mushrooms, sweet potatoes are all made. I was going to make a green bean casserole even though I am the only one who eats it. Then I realized I didn’t have any cream of mushroom soup. I started to get upset.

Then I remembered the huge turkey waiting to go in the oven tomorrow and all the other food waiting to be had. And honestly I could have went and got the soup but I didn’t want to leave the house and go to the store.

If that is the worst thing that goes wrong than I am doing good.

It is so easy to get upset over something so very minor. I often have to remind myself that there are so many people who don’t have as much food as we do for Thanksgiving (or any other day for that matter.)

I have 2 healthy, beautiful and wonderful children.

I have a husband who works his butt off so I can stay home with said wonderful children. And if we are being honest, that man loves me to death.

So much so he braved the grocery store on the day before Thanksgiving for cream of mushroom soup just so I could have green bean casserole.

So much to be thankful for….
