Tuscan Beef Recipe

I am part of a group on Facebook where we all share what we are making for dinner each night. It is a great way to get ideas, recipes and opinions. I have gathered lots and lots of inspiration from this group.

Our local grocery store sells these thin breakfast steaks. They are perfect for fajitas, which is what I was going to use them for. Change of plans but I needed to cook them up tonight. Thanks to the Facebook group, mainly my good friend Chris, tonight’s dinner was born.


Thin beef (I use 2 steaks and cut them each in half)
Fresh diced tomato
Olive oil
Salt and pepper.

First step, make sure your beef is room temp. This makes for a more tender piece of meat.

Add a little olive oil to a pan and set to medium heat.

Salt and pepper the beef to taste.

Add the beef to the oil once it is heated and cook for about 2 minutes on each side.

Just before the meat is done cooking add your capers and diced tomatoes.

I served it with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes.

It was a hit with everyone, even both kids.
