All Dressed Up with DressFirst

Maybe it is just part of being a girly girl but I still love to get dressed up. Every wedding invite is another chance to go dress shopping and play dress up for a night. This isn’t a new trend however. I remember even in High School, the prom and homecoming were more reasons to get all dressed up again.

I hate to admit that my prom dress was horribly similar to those.

20 years ago I graduated from high school so of course in that time the styles have changed. The big fluffy dresses gave way slightly to more form fitting styles. But what was missing was the lack of bright, bold colors.

And while I am not gearing up to go to prom anytime soon it is still fun at times to look at how styles have changed and to see what is trending now. DressFirst is a great site to browse and I may or may not have it bookmarked for when my 2 year old is ready to shop for prom dresses.

Chiffon Tulle Prom Dress

While I hate the way they look one me I actually really like the look of the asymmetrical dresses like this one.

And like I mentioned color is everywhere. The brighter and bolder, the better.

I could see myself going for something like this in a bold color like orange or even grape.

And in a few years I could see Miss Stalin going for something like this. Short and sweet. Just like her.
