French Toast Casserole Recipe

We eat a lot of French toast. It is kind of a staple around here and one of the few breakfast foods that we all like. But I find myself trying to come up with different ways of serving this old favorite. French Toast casserole is one of my new favorite go to breakfasts.

About one loaf of bread cut into chunks.
6 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Fruit of choice (I used blueberries)
1 block of cream cheese cut into slices.
1/2 cup of Syrup.

Place a layer of bread into a baking dish and cover with fruit and cream cheese slices. Top with remaining bread.

In a measuring cup whisk eggs, milk and syrup until blended.

Pour over the bread evenly.

Place in the refrigerator over night.

In the morning preheat oven to 350 and bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is brown and slightly crispy.

Serve topped with some syrup and a more of the fruit.

The outside is crispy and has a great crunch to it. The inside is soft, creamy and so good!
