Describe your relationship with your parents.
Despite the fact that my son says that you cannot be friends with people you are related to, my mom is one of my best friends. She has this wonderful way of being the one that I always want to go to for advice. I think it is because she has never offered her advice unless I asked for it.
You know the pushy type that are always telling you what you should do? Sure they mean well, but it isn’t what you are looking for. My mom is not that person. She only tells me what she would do if I ask her.
She is the one person that I try and be like. She was an incredible mother to me and my siblings and I the only thing I hate is that I fear she set the bar so high, I will never measure up.
My dad passed away a little over a year ago. He was amazing. I have talked a lot about him, especially since he passed.
My Dad had such an incredible knowledge of the Bible. It was really inspiring. He loved God more than anything else and it showed in every area of his life. But he was also a lot of fun. He was a big kid and loved to laugh and make jokes all the time.
I miss him all the time.
